The Midlands-IT Support Experience
Midlands-IT Support is a trading style of Jay Webb Consultancy Services Limited which was founded in 2008 by Jay Webb as an HR Consultancy business, specialising in Independent Grievance and Disciplinary Investigations. The company had one major national client who used us to resolve a number of historic grievances and disciplinary issues that they had.
In 2009 Mike Webb joined the business as IT Director, adding IT Services to the business portfolio. Having previously been the technical lead and manager of IT infrastructures for a diverse range of companies, from mid-sized (600+ staff) UK wide organisations to Multi-National retail organisations (17,000+ staff), he aims to offer high quality, robust and reliable IT Support and Consultancy to smaller businesses.
Since then the HR side of the business has expanded to offer a full range of Human Resources services, including the BreatheHR cloud based HR system, of which we are the only BreatheHR Gold Partner in the area. As a business we became Microsoft Partners in 2010 to ensure we had access to the latest technology and training, so the skill sets within the business were always up to date. We achieved Microsoft Silver Cloud Solutions Provider status in 2014 after two years of providing Microsoft Cloud services to our customers.
We have developed partnerships with leading Hardware and Software providers, including Dell, Microsoft and ESET and provide fully supported Cloud Based service offerings for our clients as well as onsite and remote IT Support Services.
The business now has around 200 clients throughout the UK, but our clients predominently are based Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and the West Midlands.
Our Staff
Mike Webb - IT Director
With over 30 years Telecoms and IT support experience gained within HM Forces, FTSE 100, large multi-national and SME's, Mike provides IT services to our diverse range of customers.
In his spare time, Mike is a Trustee and Treasurer for Red Cypher, a charity supporting the Serving and Veteran members of 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, and occasionally releases golf balls into the wild.
Jay Webb - Managing Director
With over 40 years of senior level HR experience in both Unionised and non-unionised organisations, Jay is the calming voice of reason for our HR clients.
In her spare time Jay is Chair of the Board of Trustees for The Bridge (East Midlands) a charity working to prevent homelessness in Leicestershire and surrounding counties. Jay also enjoys gardening and is a keen networker.
Megan - Head of Security
Megan has been Head of Security for Midlands-IT Support for nearly 4 years, ensuring no crisp packet goes undetected.
Megan insists on checking all food to ensure it's safe to eat, and enthusiastically greets all our visitors.
Megan enjoys walking, swimming and squirrel chasing in her spare time.
